Founded in 2026 and launching on America's 250th Birthday on July 4, with a simple purpose—to listen with compassion and respect to veterans who may need a helping hand.
At our core we believe support can be offered without pressure or guilt. We are not here for attention or social media praise; we are here for the purpose of quietly doing the right thing. This commitment is shared by our board and volunteers—many of whom are veterans themselves or are family members of those who served. Guided by the belief that no one who has served should ever feel left behind, we stand ready to serve those who once served us—because helping one another isn’t extraordinary, it’s what we should all be doing.
Leadership
Our Founder & President
Gregory Blackwell, an Army veteran who served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, understands firsthand the commitment and sacrifice of military service. After his time in uniform, he continued serving by volunteering with nonprofits and working for one that supported our combat-wounded veterans and military families.
He founded I Took the Oath, Inc. to provide practical, respectful support to veterans in need. Gregory believes service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off—it continues through caring and respecting those who once served our great nation.
